Germantown Community Connection (GCC) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit macro civic organization in Germantown dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community.  Its purpose is to serve as a bridge linking the many groups in Germantown and to serve as a Voice to influence policies that impact our neighborhoods, focus investments toward community benefit, promote our diversity and build a vibrant economy, and as a Bridge to connect community organizations, surface common issues and the resources to address and build capacity to act on community priorities.  GCC membership consists of residents, community organizations, businesses and institutions.

GCC is the local representative for Classic Town Germantown, a Classic Town of Greater Philadelphia which is a program of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission.  This is a marketing effort to promote Germantown as a great place to live, work, connect and invest. GCC is a Registered Community Community Organization on the registry of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission. The RCO system is designed to improve community notification of proposed developments and make community involvement more predictable  in communities and across the city. The Germantown Community Connection RCO status is valid through June 30, 2016

Germantown Community Connection meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month at First Presbyterian Church in Germantown, 35 W. Chelten Ave. from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. The meeting schedule consists of board, membership and committee meetings .  GCC initiates and collaborates/partners with other organizations to hold  special public forums and events.
