Germantown Community Connection serves as a macro civic organization focusing on the big picture to address community development and support building a strong, healthy and sustainable community in Germantown through planning,  advocacy, connecting community organizations, education and working with public/private agencies to address common issues that impact the community and to promoting Germantown as a great place to live, work and invest.

 Registered Community Organization

Germantown Community Connection is a Registered Community Organization on the registry of the Philadelphia City Planning Commission.  The RCO system is designed to improve community notification of proposed developments and make community involvement more predictable in communities and across the city. RCOs receive the benefit of early notice of significant zoning proposals in their neighborhoods. Germantown Community Connection’s RCO status  is valid through June 30, 2018.

Germantown – A Classic Town of Greater Philadelphia

Germantown Community Connection is the local representative (since October 2009) for Germantown’s designation as a Classic Town of Greater Philadelphia, a program of the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. GCC’s Classic Town Germantown is a marketing effort to promote Germantown as a great place to live, work, visit and invest. Visit to learn more about Classic Towns of Greater Philadelphia.
